A good day for a drive to the city

It never fails. We made it to downtown Chicago in a just bit over an hour, because Kurt was driving. Whenever I drive, there's some sort of traffic jam or accident causing delays... sigh. So, we arrived in Korea town, found our supplier and went shopping!
I love all the old brownstone buildings that line block after block all through the city!

We thought about shopping at the Korean market, but just didn't go this trip. It's a fun market with a restaurant inside... always fun to walk around in there.... as we're the only non Asians! Boy, do we get the looks... heh!

Instead, Kurt took the boys and I to lunch around his old stomping ground. After lunch we drove through his old neighborhood... pausing to see the house where he grew up.... It was a quiet afternoon... I kept searching for the ghost of little Kurt runnign around =)

After that, it was off to the karate school where Kurt taught my 4pm class! That was a welcome break... sometimes, it's nice to see other teaching ideas... I'm getting stagnant in my classes, I think.... A nice break for me! Back home for dinner with the boys, and back to the institute for black belt class. It was our final night of fight club... as it's been dubbed. I've only joined in for one night of fighting. These adult guys are too tough for me! Heh. The one night I did put on the gloves I fought Kurt and a 72 year old man! hahaha. Still they played with me as a cat effortlessly toys with a mouse.... sigh. There's just no contest! ;) Nonetheless, it's a good workout for me! hahahahah.

After that, I showered and fell fast asleep.... lights on, Kurt playing on the computer.... amazing how a 5:30am run, and a busy day will do that to me! ;) Usually, the planets and stars have to be aligned just so for me to fall asleep! hahahahahhaha A new record for me.... 7 days of running the 2/3 of a mile!

Have a good Friday! I'm off to pick up little Cee today! She's flying home from Florida... I hope she brings with her some sunshine and warm weather!
