The Harmonika-verein Holzgerlingen band!
What an awesome 9 day visit we had with all of them! And this friendly, outgoing band has inspired us to add in to our karate classes the handshake! Yes, it was amazing to me, when all these young people walked up to each other with a handshake greeting, and up to us Americans with the same handshake and a hello! How simple, and yet how powerful!
And the stories we have! Karl and his major crush,
who was oh, so friendly and tolerated her little fan! She danced with him, took pictures with him.... ahhh, nothing as sweet as a first love! Their 5 different concerts were well-attended and the audience just ate them up! They even made the front page of our local newspaper.... which I sent home with the band!More pics and stories to follow, as I sort the photos! And, of course Kurt and I are getting excited about next summer's trip over for Holzgerlingen's 1000 year celebration! Wheee! The fun we'll have!!!
