The planning begins!!!

Whhheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

I'm so excited!

My email arrives this evening:

Carolyn:
Thanks for getting back to me. Making your own plane arrangements is fine. As of right now our schedule looks to be as follows:

Wed. 6/27/07 Depart Chicago

Thurs. 6/28/07 Arrive Frankfurt. Travel via bus to Holzgerlingen.
Fri. 6/29/07 Stadtfest - Holzgerlingen (Concert)
Sat. 6/30/07 Stadtfest - Holzgerlingen (Concert)
Sun. 7/1/07 Stadfest - Holzgerlingen (Concert)
Mon. 7/2/07 Stadtfest - Holzgerlingen (Concert)
Tues. 7/3/07 Travel via bus to Wolfach (Combined concert w/ city Band)
Wed. 7/4 07 Tour black forest region, travel to Zolling via bus.
Thurs. 7/5/07 Zolling (Munich?)
Fri. 7/6/07 Zolling - Festival (Concert? Combined with city Band/)
Sat. 7/7/07 Zolling - Festival (Concert?)
Sun. 7/8/07 Depart Munich. Arrive Chicago.

Have not confirmed concert times/dates yet. The Stadfest performances will be a combination of concert, jazz and dixieland bands. We will probably spend 1-2 days touring Munich while staying with Zolling Hosts. They said they will work around performance schedule at Festival. Possibly concerts for concert band and jazz band. It'll be a pretty action packed trip with lots of performances, and a few different hosts.

Now, of course, Herr und Frau Cowtown will not be traveling with the band on the plane or in the bus! We'll be enjoying the mile-high club, and renting our own wheels. Kurt so loves to drive the autobahn, leaving me free to photograph my beloved German countryside!!!

*Eeeeee!!* I'm so excited just thinking about this trip!!!!

Kurt has given me absolute control over the travel arrangements.... dates, so we can visit with our Augsburg friends!, arrival airports, and which car to choose! Heh! Let's see.... I suppose we should leave a couple days early, and stay a week later! hahahahahahah Ya right! The grandparents would not be too keen on that plan! hee hee

Now, I wonder which airport is closer/more convenient, Frankfurt or Munich? Hmmm. I'm more familiar with Frankfurt... having flown in and out of there 3 times already! I'm kinda leaning toward Frankfurt... just to make the in-air time shorter.... gah, 9 hours is already long enough for me.......

Then again.... perhaps a day longer in Munich with friends , and fly home the next morning from Munich..... decisions, decisions....

Ok, let's get this planning ball rolling!! It's about time to get those tickets ordered!

OH! Cousin M, any idea when other-cousin-M's wedding is??! I may be arriving home a couple of days later than the scheduled list..... wouldn't want to miss the wedding!! Let me know! =)
