The pressure mounts again **UPDATE**

It's Spelling Bee season once again.

The first round was the written spelling exam for the entire school, all 6th, 7th and 8th graders. They would take the top three spellers from each grade level.

The results are in. Calli ranked #3 out of 225 6th grade students! Hooray! Goodness, that was close.

Tomorrow it's the oral portion of the Bee. She goes up against the top two 6th graders, the top three 7th graders and the top three 8th graders..... She's already in panic mode... as I've been challenging her with the challenge word lists for each of the language origins. So far French is kicking her butt.... sigh.

I'm trying to prepare her for the possibility that she will not be able to beat the older kids.....

We shall see.....

Well, there can be only 1 winner of all the 625 sixth, seventh and eighth grade students.


Calli was again, #3.
She's so sad. Thus ends the Spelling Bee for her this year.
But, we've told her over and over how proud we are of her, a 6th grader being the 3rd smartest speller in all the middle school! And she's get's to try again next year!
